Most of my respondents were pro-choice, class of 2024, white, female, and go to public school.
I was surprised by how few people responded 'No' when asked if they would go to school in a state that restricts abortion. I would have expected a higher number of 'No’s'.
It surprised me to see that almost 50% of the respondents chose to stay in a state that restricts abortion when offered financial aid. I would have expected more of them to choose a state with reproductive freedom since 83% of my respondents are Pro-Choice. Most respondents, even though pro-choice, said abortion rights are not a top priority. The data collected indicating that more people value financial aid than abortion rights makes sense.
In general, I found that the Dobbs decision wasn't greatly affecting college choice locations. It seems that financial support is a bigger priority.
